Brian Phares

Brian was born in Rochester, New York, in 1981, and by his own account, spent the next several years as a baby. He was a completely average human child, and no one should have any reason to think otherwise. Brian studied English and creative writing at The State University of New York at Oswego before earning an MFA in creative writing from Lesley University in Boston, where he studied with National Book Award finalist Chris Lynch. Brian has worked as a grocery store clerk, a warehouse retail chain cashier, a cook, a hardware store clerk, and a shoe salesman. Eventually those jobs will all be turned into novels.
