Comiskey-Kelly

Kelly Comiskey

Kelly’s writing career may have started when she was a kid, but she didn’t attempt her first novel until she was a grownup—after reading way too many novels she wished she had written. Kelly is an avid reader, with a special affection for historical fiction and young adult novels, especially dystopian ones. And given her passion for genealogy and travel, she never passes up a chance to combine the two. Kelly’s interest in World War II and the Holocaust and her visits to memorials in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany inspired her novel, The Light at the End of the World. Kelly works as a school counselor in Des Moines, Iowa, where she lives with her husband, two sons, and a lackadaisical basset hound.
