Sheryl DePaolo

Sheryl was awarded the Boston Public Library’s prestigious Children’s Writer-in-Residence fellowship for 2007–2008. She grew up in Southington, Connecticut, and although she spent 10 years working in Los Angeles, as a costumer in film and television, we’ve never heard her name-drop. Sheryl holds an MFA in children’s literature from Simmons College and has completed postgraduate work at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Nowadays, when Sheryl’s not busy writing or working at the Children’s Book Shop, in Brookline, Massachusetts, there’s a good chance she’s creating some whimsical artwork or pampering her sweet but demanding Puerto Rican rescue dog, Remy.
